Dar el biberón parece fácil, mucho más sencillo que dar el pecho pero hay que tener en cuenta muchos aspectos como que la leche fluya bien, que el bebé no trague aire.
Para alimentarles correctamente conviene tener en cuenta algunos aspectos como por ejemplo la higiene. Antes de utilizar el biberón hay que lavarlo muy bien con agua y jabón o esterilizarlo teniendo en cuenta la contaminacion del agua.
La preparación del contenido también es importante. La mezcla se debe hacer siguiendo al pie de la letra las cantidades y en el momento en el que se vaya a consumir. Antes de ofrecérselo al niño o niña debemos comprobar que está a la temperatura adecuada echando unas gotas en el exterior de la muñeca.
En momento de la toma debe ser de relax. Tanto la madre o padre y el bebé deben estar cómodos. La cabeza del bebé debe estar apoyada sobre el ángulo que se forma al doblar el brazo, ya que está posición les ayuda a tragar y respirar. El biberón se debe mantener inclinado unos 90 grados con respecto a la boca para que la tetina esté siempre llena. Conviene retirar el biberón cada cierto tiempo para evitar que la tetina se aplaste y no fluya la leche.
