Rabietas, pataletas, llantos,…
Los niños a veces son difíciles de tratar y muchas veces, con llorar o con tener una rabieta, con tal de no oírles, hacemos lo que ellos quieren… Pero eso es algo que nunca deberíamos hacer porque eso lo único que hace es hacerles entender a los niños que si no quieren hacer algo, con llorar o enrabietarse es suficiente porque lo dejarán en paz.
Hay muchas técnicas a aplicar en situaciones como esas, o incluso en cualquier tipo de situaciones, que no hacen el efecto negativo sino el positivo ya que se le enseña al niño a controlarse y a seguir unas normas como puede ser recoger su habitación, comer adecuadamente, vestirse solo…
Sin embargo, también las educadoras y técnicas pecamos a veces con algunos niños consintiéndolos demasiado porque no nos gusta verlos tristes o llorando. Es algo que llevamos en el cuerpo, no por ser educadoras, técnicas u otro profesional, sino porque somos personas que nos gustan los niños y no queremos verlos sufrir, aunque ese sufrimiento se pase a los 2 minutos por haber eliminado lo que le habíamos dicho que hiciera.
Un ejemplo, un niño de los de mi clase, al llegar hoy (de lunes) no dejaba de llorar porque se separaba de su madre, y es algo que los lunes pasa a menudo. Pues bien, ha empezado a llorar y ha cogido una rabieta porque se ha ido. Lo normal sería dejarle tranquilo, no molestarse en intentar hablar con él porque en esos momentos no atiende a razones; sin embargo, para mí me resulta demasiado doloroso tener a una persona a mi lado llorando y no poder hacer nada… Sabía perfectamente lo que lo calmaría, pero eso implica tenerlo siempre pegado a uno mismo durante todo el día y eso, cuando tienes más niños de los que ocuparte, es casi imposible; pero aún así lo cogí y lo acuné… Se le pasó enseguida, e incluso se reía y todo… ¿Qué hacer ahora? ¿Tenerlo pegado a "tus faldas"? Bueno, para eso están los juegos y juguetes, para distraerlo e ir alejándote poco a poco de él sin que se de cuenta para que, al cabo de unos minutos, conseguir que se integre en la clase completamente.
Eso es algo que se puede hacer cuando aún no tienes demasiados niños… Pero cuando tienes a bastantes, es más difícil porque tienes que cuidar de todos, no sólo del que está llorando.
